I just went to Sephora and picked up a benefit set called "Legally Bronze". It was only $35!

My friend has the Hoola bronzer and she let me try it out. I like it, it's not too dark and it gives me just the right amount of contour. I've tried BADgal Black mascara and LOVE it. And I pla on using the Gilded pencil on my waterline, ooh lala. High beam is actually going to my friend, who has been wanting it for the longest time! I have Moon Beam already and didn't need another highlighter-type product.

This deal is too good to pass up! $105 worth of products for only $35, WOWZA! Get it fast because I got the last one and I went to a bunch of Sephora stores before I actually got my hands on this one! Woohoo =)

So I just got back from a short pre-spring break vacation (yes, my spring is just now, this week) and my purse is filled with junk. After a friend commented on all the junk I had, I decided to show everyone what's in my bag.

So this is my zebra print, no name brand purse. I love it, it's big (that's what she said) and it does it's purpose!

A book I have to read, documents for doing my taxes, post office stickers, bunch of random receipts, and a vip card for Monterey shops.

Two bare mineral blushes, MAC Heatherette compact, Avon tweezer, MAC pigment in Pink Pearl (just bought it), Covergirl wetslicks lipgloss (dupe of Benefit's california Kisssin' i believe!), burt's bees, CO Bigalow mentha lip tint in Magenta Mint, China Glaze nail polish in Turned up Turquoise, NYC glitter polish in 105A, thread, Sephora mirror, my new glasses, 2 L'Oreal hip jelly balms (just bought them), and my cloth for my glasses. PHEW!

My coach wristlet, a candle from my Bday pazookie at BJ's, a pen i took from SB, some coins, my keys, tissue, bottle caps, pinkberry napkin, new nail detail brush, gym pass and school id

Now what is in that wristlet of mine? My MAC heatherette lipglass, chopstick helpers ( dont need them but my friend gave it to me), credit cards (yes, hello kitty =)), rewards cards, gift card, and a sh*tload of receipts!

My birthday is coming up on the 27th. Big 2-2, sike. It's nothing special. I usually hate celebrating my birthday anyways, no lie. It just gets stressful trying to plan things, trying to get people together, trying to find a convenient time for everyone, and it seriously pisses me off. It's too much and I don't want to deal with it. I think I'd be happy just hanging out alone, watching movies with some ice cream and cake. HMPH!

It doesn't stop me from making birthday wish lists though =|

Tomorrow is Ash Wednesday, he beginning of Lent. I will be giving up buying makeup or any other beauty products. Along with that, I will also give up eating chocolate candy. I am not sure what else I will be adding to that, but I'll probably add that to here. During these tough times, hopefully I will realize that I don't need to buy everything I see, and maybe go even longer without these things. It'll also give me time to use what I have and make use of it.

On Friday, my friends and I gathered makeup that we haven't used in a while and swapped with each other. A good way of getting products without spending. =)

Okay, so I was in the computer lab at school, and the computers are iMacs and the plugs are behind the screen. So I plug in my headphones without looking and "audiojack" pops up on the screen. I go on YouTube and start watching makeup stuff. I was a video for like 5 minutes with headphones and towards the end, took my headphones off, and realize that not only is the sound is playing through my headphones, it's freakin playing loud through the speakers too. OMG. I wanted to crawl into a hole!

Battle of the Eyeshadow Primers

Ah, I've been wanting to do this post for a long time. So this is going to be a post about the different eyeshadow bases I own and how they stand up against one another. I am using my the most neutral shadow primers I have in my makeup stash (Urban Decay primer Potion, L'Oreal HIP Paint in Secretive, MAC Paint Pot in Painterly, Too Faced Shadow Insurance, and MAC Paint in Bare Canvas) and using one MAC eyeshadow in Creme de Violet.

** Note: This experiment was done on my arm and please note that eyelids are usually oily and I will share my own personal experiences about each primer at the end.

After a couple hours of wear and tear. Splashed water on my arm and rubbed a towel on the swatches.

In the end, Urban Decay Primer Potion and Too Faced Shadow Insurance are the winners!

My own review on each primer:

Urban Decay Primer Potion: This is my HG of all eyeshadow primers. It is so smooth and blends out evenly and easily across my eye area. The staying power is amazing and it leaves me with no creases all day. It also brings out the color of the eyeshadows I am using. One con is the packaging. I am on my second bottle of primer potion (the jumbo bottle!) and the first time around, I thought I was out of product, but ended up with 2 5g jars full of prime! I was amazed!

L'Oreal HIP Paint in Secretive: This primer crease on me after a few hours. This is the most neutral color it comes in and has a lot of shine. I would prefer to have a matte finish but even if it did, the staying power is not impressive. NEXT!

MAC Paint Pot in Painterly: I like this as an eyeshadow base but ONLY if I apply it with a brush; if not, it will crease. It is also feels a bit dry/powdery.

Too Faced Shadow Insurance: This is one of my new loves. I have the sample and the bigger version, but I am using up the small one first. Just like I feel about UDPP, I love this primer. It's smooth and only takes one dot of product to cover the whole eye. The packaging is also great so that I don't have to cut it open to get all the product out!

MAC Paint in Bare Canvas: This is a great primer and has great staying power. BUT I hate the packaging. Squeeze a little and a bunch comes out and goes to waste. Once, I accidentally squeezed a bunch out and tried to save it in a 5g jar.. DIDN'T WORK! Dried out and not at all usable. Ugh. But I like the texture and I think it's pretty good.

Posh Cosmetic Brush & Accessories Make-Up Set

In mid December, I placed an order on with Posh Brushes,(it came before the end of the month, like it said it would).I bought this set. I could have sworn that when I purchased it, it was only $89.99, but now it says $119.99 (maybe it got more popular? I heard about posh brushes online and saw (and felt) some brushes that were at Long's Drugs. They seemed to be very good quality and they were very soft!) Luckily I used a "50% off" code that I found online and that made me want to buy the set even more.

Coastal Scents Gel Liners

I got these items at the end of December. I got Grape Vine to use as a base, True Black to replace my MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack cuz I'm running out (yes, RUNNING out, it didn't DRY out!), and the brown one (I have no idea if it is Truffle, or another brown that they changed) to be a more "wearing makeup, without looking like I'm wearing makeup look".

True Black: When I first opened the jar and dipped my brush in, my brush SUNK IN. It was wayy creamy but after a couple uses, firmed up a bit to a consistency that I am used to. I love this on my waterline and it stays better that MAC's Fluidline in Blacktrack. I also noticed that it is a tad bit harder to remove than MAC.

Grape Vine: I don't know what I expected from this color. Don't get me wrong, it is really pretty, but also more sheer than I would like. Good thing I picked it up to use as a base and not a liner.

Brown: This color is is lighter than I expected. I have to line once and to make the color deeper, line it over for the darker brown I'd like.

I think it's a good value for $6.95 and is a great alternative for MAC Fluidlines. The staying power is amazing. Another alternative for me would be L'Oreal HIP creme liners, and I have 2 of those. They work fine on me and have yet to dry up on me (like I've seen on many other blogs) The plus to that product is that drugstores usually offer BOGO deals on them and make them even cheaper, without having to pay shipping or to wait for the package. Anyways, that's just my opinion and a more in depth review of those will come another time.

China Glaze

I friggin LOVE China Glaze! One of my friends just recently got a Sally's Beauty Supply membership card. To be totally honest, I would always refuse to listen to the cashier at Sally's tell me the benefits of having a card. I wish I would have earlier! It costs $5 for a year of membership and you pretty much get things at a discount. So, back to what this post was originally about, China Glaze nail polishes! WithOUT a Sally's card, a China Glaze nail polish is $5.99. WITH a Sally's card, it's only $3.25. WHAT A DEAL! The colors are gorgeous (though I'm not too fond of the neon ones, I own a pink one) and there are SOO many colors to choose from. I just bought 5 nail polishes last week.

Here is one that I really like, Spontaneous.
I used 2 coats. (no base coat, no top coat)

And 3 days later, it started to wear off a bit on the tips of my nails.

I've tried the colors I bought and they are all amazing. I will swatch them as I use them. The reason for this post is to show how well the nail polish holds up after a couple of days. I know some people expect it to last a week or so, but I get bored and change my nail polish constantly, so after 3 days, I want to change it up a bit.

Get a Sally's card if you want to save on these nail polishes. You not only save on nail polishes, but pretty much everything in the store. I got a card because I don't want to order online for China Glaze nail polishes that may be $2.68 or so, but you have to pay shipping, wait for your package, and you can't see the color in person.

Where have I been.. AGAIN!

I go through these phases where I blog like crazy, then just stop for a long period of time. My last post was from about 2 weeks ago! I think I need to think of a lot of ideas at once, do review, eye looks, hauls, and take all the pictures I need. The I will upload, edit and save pictures for the next time I want to blog, so that I wont feel so lazy do do that stuff everyday. Because that's what i do. I need to find an easier way to upload and edit my pictures. Ever since I went from PC to MAC, I've had a hard time doing this. I will be back though!

As far as makeup had been going, the past week or so had been BORING! Either it's one shade on the whole eye area, or a very neutral (and barely visible) highlight and lid color, liner and mascara. I am totally bumming it. Also, school started yesterday and I am trying to adjust my sleep hours. I swear, I would sleep at 5 or 6 every morning and wake at 12-1pm. Now I am TRYING to sleep at 12 (last night didn't fall asleep until passed 2 though) and also TRYING wake up at 7 or so, which is totally not possible right now so I wake up about an hour or less before class starts. ANYWAYS, I am typing this during my break between classes. I have class till 9:40pm. How lame is that!

Cheap Palette

Hey again. I just bought this palette from DD's Discounts (if you are unfamiliar with the store, it's a sister company to Ross). Anyways, I went there looking for e.l.f. stuff. I did see some e.l.f products like nail polishes and these sets, but I was looking for a specific set. Anyways, This one I got was only $4.99. Pretty good and the colors came out really nice.

Dazzleglass Dupe?

Hi hi! Here are some pictures and swatches of Sally Hansen's Lipnotic Gem Gloss. I got this with a Buy one, get one free deal at Long's, a couple months ago. I remember seeing them, and thinking, this looks like MAC's Dazzleglass! (late to find out that others have already reviewed this and compared it to Dazzleglasses!) So I grabbed two of them, about $6 each, so it came out to $6 for both. AWESOME if you ask me. I like the glitter in the lip gloss. At different angles of light, you can see little specks of color. I love it. As you can see, my "Rich" shade is the one being used at the moment. I love it. I love the shine and sparkle of these lip glosses. Oh, and also the smell! It's not a strong smell, but it's like a hint of watermelon. =)

Bejeweled: It's almost just a clear gloss on my lips with a lot of sparkle
Rich: Has a slight tint and adds just a touch of color. Oh, and also, sparkle, sparkle!

A blue one!

This time a blue look. I didn't actually do the look on both eyes though, because I was just trying out my blue shadows. I don't know if I mentioned it before, but blue eyeshadows always call on me to buy them, but when I wear it, it doesn't look right. I was thinking maybe it's the color of my skin, but then I see all women of color wear all different colors of the rainbow and it looks really good on them!

This is my attempt at a blue look. I am still trying to get my camera to take pictures how I like them, but i always end up just using the picture that the flash washes out the colors. O well, at least it's something. I need to change my lighting also.

Easy look to do =)

This is a really easy look to do. I was looking at some of my MAC eyeshadows that don't get any action and went from that. I found Trax (described as burgundry plum with bronze shimmer) and decided to pair it with Wooodwinked (described as a warm antique gold). I thought that that if I put the two shadows together, the bronze shimmer will come out more. Anyways, here's what I used.

This post is going to be boring because I did this look about 2 weeks ago and have now forgotten what I used. I'm pretty sure I can attempt it again with whatever colors I have, but I might as well just do another yellow look with it. I saw a yellow and brown look on Tina Marie Online and wanted to try. Mine pretty much sucks cuz I have have a sucky yellow eyeshadow and.. UGH! Okay I totally want to redo this look! (and next time, remember what I used!)

I got my notification email saying that it would go on sale at 7am Tuesday. I had my alarm set and everything, but last minute, I decided to switch off my alarm because, well, I didn't need it. That is probably the only time you will hear those words come out of my mouth. Haha. But seriously, I am putting myself in a "no buy" again. I even wanna sell stuff that I have just so that I don't feel guilty for what I have been spending on makeup. I will continue to swap on Makeup Alley, but that's pretty much paying for postage.

Back on to My Pretty Pink Box, I remember seeing that November's boxes sold out in 2 hours! (they pretty much have one every month) and I read that December's box sold out in...20 MINUTES! OMG I would be seriously pissed if I woke up that early and wasn't able to purchase it. Turns out, people wake up REALLLY early to buy these boxes! I also read online that 70% of the orders were multiple orders (you can orders up to 3 on one credit card, I believe).

I would like to try these one day, but not now. I notice that I am always excited to get samples (from stores, magazines, swaps) but I NEVER use it! I think I collect them because they're so cute in their little packaging! What a waste, huh? Haha.

But check out their website. What is in the box changes all the time and it sounds like a great way to try out new products (and get some full sized also!) with a very small fraction of the price!

These are swatches from a previous e.l.f. haul that I posted a bit ago.
Healthy Glow Bronzing Powders in Warm Tan and Sun Kissed. The website says "A touch of sunshine to warm up every complexion with its soft and silky texture for a beautiful and natural glow."

I've used the Sun Kissed and it seems a bit too glittery and ultra shimmery, but if used very lighty, it does give a nice glow to the skin. I like to think of these 2 bronzers as MAC's Wooodwinked and Tempting eyeshadow! I have Wooodwinked, but I am too lazy to actually compare the 2, but I should try creating an eye look with these, huh?!

Maybelline Mascara Review

I bought this mascara about a month ago at Long's. I think it was part of a "buy one, get on free" offer. I had seen a review on someone's beauty blog, but decided to try it out for myself. It's not as great as I thought it'd be =/

Maybelline XXL Extensions Mascara

I had high hopes for this mascara. I mean, I thought it would would perform better than it did on my lashes. If you just use it and have nothing else to compare it to, then it's alright. But I think I tried another mascara right after and it was wayy better!! This mascara has worked for some people (I've seen the pictures!) but it did nothing better than an average mascara. Maybe you'll have better luck?

I tried to add more coats of mascara, but it just looked really odd. My lashes got clumpy and it was not cute at all. Haha.

Poor MAC Brush Cleanser

Target Makeup Haul

I've heard about the bronzers being really fragile and turns to dust once the brush touches it, but I think that was the only bad thing about it. I will do a review soon. I've previously bought palettes and those are great, and for $1 each item, why not? =)

Wet n Wild Lipsticks

So I went to Walgreens and picked up 2 Wet n Wild lipsticks. Don't ask why I choose 2 hot pinks. Haha. Unfortunately I am only happy with one of them.

511B is a very pretty hot pink color. It's almost like a lipstick + lipgloss because of the shine that's in it. I really like this one.

505A is a frosty hot pink. Almost metallic pink. Depending on the angle of the light that shines on it, it can either be a hot pink with little glitters in it OR a bright frosty lighter shade. Not too fond of this one.

Overall, I think it's a great buy. At only $.99 each, why not try to see which one works for you and which one don't. Many stores also have great return/exchange policies if you're not completely satisfied with your purchase. Just make sure you ask beforehand if you're not too sure! Review!

I'm pretty sure that many of you have already seen Maybelline's Define-A-Lash Mascara, but it's OK, you can still check this out! I have it in Very Black. I have to be honest, I bought this because I am very easy influenced by what I see on youtube, beauty blogs, etc and just had to try it. At first, I hated it! I forgot why, but something about it made me hate it. I decided to dig it out of my stash and try it out again and I am glad I did! This mascara makes your lashes oh-so-long and it only takes one coat! It adds length and you'll see by my pictures just how big a difference it made for me. There was one thing I disliked about this mascara, it seems to take a while to dry, so when you put it on, be careful not to blink to soon, or else it'll smear! Overall it is a GREAT A++ mascara! I will definitely repurchase!

Coastal Scents Gel Liners

Have you seen them!? I've seen a couple swatches on youtube and beauty blogs and I am IN LOVE! They are $6.95 each and I don't know if I should spend that on it. It's funny. I have no problem paying for MAC, but I'm hecka cheap when it comes to drugstore products. I always go for the "buy one, get one free" or "buy one, get one half off". I don't know what I would define coastal scents as, in between maybe?

** okay i just did research online.
Coastal Scents describes their gel liners as: "If compared to HIP gels these are a several steps above in quality, they compare to MAC..."
-As far as the weigh goes, I've noticed that MAC fluidline is creamier than HIP cream liners, so maybe this can be a good thing?

I've also noticed that Coastal Scents now has empty pans that are "same size as MAC" and that they have empty palettes that have "same pan size as MAC", so obviously they know that MAC is popular and trying to compete with them and build their customer base. I have seen many pros and cons on products from Coastal Scents and am hesitant to try them. I know I've seen a Walgreen's ad once that said, "if you love MAC or Dior, you'll love HIP" (or something like that) and decided to try it because it was cheaper than MAC. So who knows, maybe I'll try it and end up loving it. I like what I've seen from Coastal Scents so far, it's the brushes that make me think. But hey, it's a good price, so you're not losing much.

OK. I am beginning to lag on the posts again, but what else is new? Haha. This past weekend I had some business to attend to and it took up all my time. Though, I was able to slip in that little blog about the nail polish. That was only because I had my laptop and camera with me.

I bought one thing at Ikea on Sunday. Well, one thing worth mentioning in my blog. It's because I'm going to put my lipsticks and lip glosses in it. They're cute and such a bargain You know how I just LOVE those! I'll add a picture later, or make another blog for it.

Anyways, here something to save you some money:

This is a nail polish I bought about 2 months ago. I've worn it one other time before. But anyways, this color is so pretty. I guess I describe it as a midnight blue with little sparkles in it. I love it. After one coat it already looks really good. I bought this for $.99 at Target. How awesome is that. Haha. But if you do try out these nailpolishes, be sure to try them out first, some of them SUCK, but others are really good.

MAC's collection Manish Arora came out online today. Today is also the day that the eyeshadow palette sold out. OMG. I believe it comes on in stores on Thursday, but I won't have funds to buy it until a week a so. I am bummed! This one really caught my eye because of the packaging and the colors inside. I already have Deep Truth, but it such a better value to buy this palette of 6 colors for $38, than to buy each eyeshadow for $14.

Okay so I know I just posted about the Lancome Foundation, but MAN! i am really thinking hard about this thing. Since it is $37 and that's a lot in my mind. I haven't tried MAC's foundation but it's about $10 less, and both are 1 oz. But omg, the Lancome one was super light and pretty. I don't even wear foundation. All I've been using is Benefit's You Rebel tinted moisturizer and I think that one was $28. OUCH! I think it gives a pretty good coverage though. Enough of that. Later I will post a before and after foundation application, ya know, since I got my free sample and all =)

Anyone have a good sugestion for a liquid foundation? Eh?

MToday I took a trip to the mall and found myself at the department store, Gottschalks(I would say its like a Macy's?). I was staring at the Lancome display and a woman approached me about finding my foundation shade. They were doing free 10-day sample when you got your color match. When people stop me at counters to show me stuff, I always say yes! Haha. (But I do had walking through the mall and the booths stoping me. I always go as far away as possible!!) Anyways, she commented on my eye makeup and asked if I ever thought of working with makeup and said that i did my makeup better than some of the women that worked there. Even though I think she was trying to sell me something, I was still flattered =). (I'll post my eye look later) Well, she asked what I looked for in a foundation and I said I wanted it to feel and look really natural and not look caked on. Well what she put on me was "Color Ideal II-40w" OMG it's GORGEOUS! It looked like there's nothing on my face and took away from any discoloration in my face. The downside was that it's $37. Eesh. But right now there's a free gift with a $29 purchase and wow. I just have to get some pictures for this blog!

A new cleanser.

I just bought a new Cleanser from Walgreens. It's called L´Oréal Skin Genesis Pore Minimizing Gel Cleanser. It's was $6.99 (on sale I believe). But that's not the best part! Walgreens has this rebate offer where it's free after processing your receipt. So I thought it was a great way of trying something out, without having to pay (isn't that just the greatest thing EVER?). After I bought it, I read a bunch of mixed reviews. Some said it make them break out, others said that it was great. I've used it day and night for only 2 days now and it's too soon to see any results.

Things I know off bat is that I LOVE the smell. LOVE LOVE LOVE the smell. I know that doesnt make the roduct work better but O WELL! It comes in a pink but clear bottle, and has a pump dispenser. I do find it very drying though. But since I moisturize anyways, I don't see a problem. Hopefully I can comment more in a week or so, so stay tuned!

OK, so my friend Christy was asking me about these eyebrow stencils that I got a little while ago and I decided to blog about it. I got them from Avon and I believe they were on a special for $4.99. It came with 4 stencils but the only one that fits my eyebrows is the Petite Arch, and I still think it's a bit long, but o well. So, I am broke. I mean, I've been broke, but lately, I've been noticing it more and more. But still I find the funds to buy me some make up. But not anymore! I am ***REALLY going to try to cut down. No, not cut down, just STOP buying makeup. I have plenty and I should use what I have. Recently I even had 3 baby hauls. Sucks. I just wish I was rich and had the money to do whatever I wanted and buy whatever I wanted. Oh, a girl can only dream.

Instead of shopping, I will be using products that I currently own. I get so tempted to buy things because of all that i see on the internet. Great companies with great products. Ah, if only I could try everything!! I found a site through some blogs called SilkNaturals.com. They have this Fiber Optic blush brush that is similar to MAC's 187 ( which I have in SE). I want to try the SN one for my cream blushes. I like this site also because they have these loose eye shadows that look really pretty, some even are listed as MAC e/s dupes. I was so tempted to buy from the site!! But, NO!!

Maybe I'll try a look right now. I know I've been lagging, as usual, but I have so much that I want to say in here. I just get lazy. Hopefully I'll get to alternating the brands I use, because I don't want them to go to waste!

Depotting!

So this is the first time I tried to depot my MAC eye shadows. I've watched tons of videos on YouTube showing the methods with heat and the methods without heat. At first, I had no intention of depotting my eye shadows, but one night the bf was talking his sweet little time to call me, so i decided to go for it! I had a hard time depotting Parrot e/s because of how hard it was to find it before... And my Cranberry e/s was from a collection and had a white case, but O WELL! I just HAD TO!!

So here's my little pictorial on how to depot your MAC eye shadows

First You'll need a straightening iron, wax paper to cover the plates and your MAC eyeshadow

Then you take a sharp knife ( I used one of those X-Acto pen/knife) and put it in the little groove, and wiggle it.

It should look like this:

After you separate the piece of plastic that contains the shadow, place it onto the hot iron ( covered with wax paper, of course!)

Check after a minute or so to see if the glue has melted under the eyeshadow pan.

Place the melting glue onto a magnet, and cut around the pan.

Next we are going to take the label off this bad boy!

Place the empty container onto the wax paper, label side down.

After a minute, the label should come off with no problem at all.

Stick that bad boy on the magnet.

And you're ready for the palette!

I got bored and decided to do the rest of my eye shadows that I had still in the pot. and anded up doing a blush to put into my blush palette! I have a creme blush but want to do the no-heat method, since it might melt.

I did a look with my Cargo Duo!! Yay! You know how people show you what they buy, but never show anything with it? Well Here I am showing something that I purchased. Well, this look here was made using the Cargo eye shadow duo in Oregon. I got this at Pure Beauty while they had (or still have!?) the 75% off Cargo cosmetics. The two colors in this duo is GORGEOUS!! I think it came out pretty well.

I've been lagging. I'm sorry. The reason is because I don't like posting without having pictures, and I am wayy too lazy to upload them!! No, OK this is the real story. I usually upload my pictures onto my desktop computer, but usually my brother is on it. I have a laptop which is a Mac, and I don't have photo programs on it to edit and whatever. (or at least I don't know how or where to find it). So I heard about the sale they have on Cargo products at Pure Beauty and I wanted to give it a try. I went to one Pure Beauty store in SF and it was only 50% off and they didn't have much to choose from. So I went to the mall and found Cargo for 75% off. I ended up only getting 2 eyes shadow duos because I felt that I could go without some new lip glosses or eyeliners, powders, whatever. I got the duos in Oregon and Omaha.

Wow! It's been a while since I've posted something in this heezy. Something actually worth something, ya know? Well, as of right now, I am in my I-hate-makeup phase. I do this every now and then. If I try something new and it doesn't turn out right, I say that I hate makeup. And well, I haven't really had the time to put anything on.

This weekend I went camping. I left early Friday morning, then came back around 1pm on Sunday. It was awesome! I still manage to put mascara and eyeliner on, but that was about it. And I STILL had to take it off when I swam because I was not about to have panda eyes. Makeup aside, it was so fun. We ate a lot, swam a lot, and talked a lot! "so, who has stories?" It was great.

I was at Ross and found E.L.F. Crazy huh? I only saw 2 products though. Not that I was really looking, but I saw the Expert Eyes kit for 4.99 and and e.l.f bath gel. I want to try the Expert eyes kit because it has their natural lashes and I've been wanting to try them.

I bought MAC's Blossoming Blushcreme and Tender Baby Tendertone.

Where have I been!? OMG Sorry to the, maybe 3, people who read this! HAHA! I have been working and dealing with my bro's graduation party this weekend. AHH in 2 nights, I only managed to get about 9 hours sleep. I know I probably averaged about 5 hours a night during school, but this is SUMMER BABY! I'm not used to it anymore. If it's before noon, it's TOO EARLY, ya feel me? =)

So, about my new job. I don't know about it. Sometimes I feel like it's too unorganized and I get blamed for things that shouldn't be my fault. My supervisors rush me to do things, when they didn't even train me in the first place. I don't know about that place...

My bro had a graduation party on Saturday. I was helping my mom cook and decorate the house. I didn't sleep till past 5 and woke up at 9:30 to help her out again. Last year, I found out my mother was superwoman. She stayed up ALL night preparing for a party BY HERSELF and still played hostess AND stayed out all night after the party gambling with my aunties and uncles! AMAZING!

I'm excited to play with makeup again. The reason I haven't been posting is because I haven't been doing any new looks lately. I may have already said that in a previous post, but it's true. I do the same looks over and over because I'm scared to try something new. Or, I'm scared that it won't turn out pretty. I wish I had sisters. Then they can be my models! That'd be great!

Oh here's something to post about. I bought a brush at Michaels. A Loew Cornell Maxine's mop 1/2. I already have the 3/8, and a smaller one. I used my 50% off coupon and got it for like $2 something. How awesome is that!? Haha

Hey there! Today is just a blabber blog. Enjoy hearing random bits of my life.

Today I started a new job. It was my first day. It's in retail and I haven't worked retail since '05 ( which was my VERY first job). Oh goodness, it was terrifying! But it was kinda cool because it's different to be NEW again. I have the chance to mess up and not get in trouble because I'm still learning. HA! It's awesome. But I was scared and messing up all over the place. It's weird being the one that has to ask for help, where in my previous job, I was the one to go to for help. Towards the end, I got the hang of it. I worked 5 hours and it went by sooo quickly. Well that was until I found a clock and began to count down the minutes til I was off. AND thhey made me stay 40 minutes over my scheduled time. I was kinda pissed. Because I had somewhere to be!

And that place was my brother's HS graduation! I got off about 30 minutes before, but still had to make posters for him! And after all that happened, when I began heading to the grad, my parents called and told me that thhey locked themselves out of the house and needed me home ASAP. I was stressing and going crazy! I finally got home and went to the graduation. Saw my brother graduate and it was great. Took a MILLION pictures of him and his friends and went home. Now he's headed to a boat cruise and I'm sitting at home, JEALOUS. I remember my boat cruise =)

As for my makeup, it was really toned down.

I go through different face cleansers. Sometimes I just use regular soap. And it's weird because I notice when I stop wearing foundation, I start to break out. How weird is that!? Anyways, I started using Clean & Clear's Deep Action Cream Cleanser. It feels SOO good. When you rise it off, my face feels really cool. BUT, I think there may be something in it that makes my skin react. (Or maybe it's that thing, it gets worse before it gets better?!). So after using it twice, I decided to switch to Neutrogena's transparent facial bar-original formula. It lathers really nice, but the bar has a slightly odd smell to it. Hopefully my skin will like it!

I've been seeing videos on a rainbow look and always wanted to try it out. I even wanted to buy the Ben Nye Lumiere Palette because I saw xsparkage's video on YouTube using that palette (I think I still might buy it though, when I start working again). Anyways,here are the products that I used

So, I went out for a little bit and totally didn't use much makeup. It doesn't even deserve a picture because It didn't take any effort. I used Avon's Smooth Mineral eye shadow in Exquisite. I guess you can say it's a highlight color, that I used all over. And that's it with liner and mascara, of course! Which reminds me, I MUST do a review of my Shu Uemura Eyelash curler.... =)

AND to add to this, I was playing with makeup and did a look on one eye.

As I mentioned in a previous blog, I purchased a couple items from Avon.
These are some of the items, not including nail polishes and what my mom got.

This is the TruColor Eye quad in Turquoise

This is the Heavenly Eyeshadow Trio in Green Envy

And these are some eyeshadow pencils that I picked up.

L-R: Slate, Blue Smoke, Vanilla, Celadon, Night Glisten

These feel pretty similar to NYX jumbo eyeshadow pencils. I LOVE to use Night Glisten as an eyeliner. It's really big and bulky, but it just glides on really dark!

Yeah, that's it for my little Avon haul. I bought a lip conditioner and I thought I'd love it. I mean, I tried it and it felt really nice and soft, but a little while passed and my lip started to swell a bit. I think I'm allergic to something in it. The same thing happens to me when I use Blistex lip balm or whatever it is...OK, Enjoy!

I did eye makeup today, but it wasn't crackin. Haha seriously. I mean, it looked cool, but first of all, my pics were not good at all, second, fluidline and I are not getting along. It was a purple look. Oh, whatever. I'll do more purple looks in the future. It bums me out though becasue I wanted to keep the eotd/fotds constant. DARN! I guess I'd rather have something on here that looks good, rather than some crap I put together.

Umm. I got some Avon stuff. Well, I ordered a couple things, because I am an "Independent Sales Representative". Sike. Not really. I'm gonna quit it though. I buy too much stuff! I totally don't make any profit because I keep buying stuff. I'm working for free makeup. That's always good though, right? =) I'm gonna post what I got today. Maybe swatches too!

Oh yeah, I know I just started this blog, but I am broke as hell and can't afford to buy new things! BUT don't let that discourage you from reading this blog! I have plenty of things to make eotd/fotds and to do reviews and just blab on about random things.

Hola! Well I'm going to blog about something that I came across. It's weird. Okay long story short, My mom found these at the DOLLAR STORE. She bought one at first and I wanted more, so she got me 2 more. And it's funny because it had a CVS tag on it for $9-something. INSANE! I wanted it cuz it looked like the Loreal HIP Shadow sticks. I'm still trying to work with it cuz it's kinda weird.. haha... BUT! Here are some pics!

Hey again. I am now putting my other makeup to use. Here I am using makeup from E.L.F (eyeslipsface.com). I actually didn't order online (though I want to!). I was able to find a Target that carried this line. There were a couple eyeshadows, including the ones I can put together in a palette. Fun! Here are the items I used, Plus the swatches of the eyeshadows.

As for other news, I bought these 2 REALLLY cute wristets at the Coach outlet in Petaluma.

I also read online about the Aquafina Hydrating Facial Spray. I've seen YouTube vids about it and read reviews. It sounded good so I went to Wal-Mart and bought a bottle. Hopefully I'll put it to good use. I'll try it out in the next few days and maybe do a review on it.

So I bought a few items that I'd like to post on here. Some yesterday and some today. I'm excited to post more pictures on here.

Also when I do face of the days (fotds), I want to start posting a picture of all the items used, brushes included. I think it just gives you more of a feel of what goes into the the process of putting makeup on.

I also want to branch out with what products are used. My face routine is usually the same, but maybe i'll change it up once in a while. There will probably be some days where I will only do the eyes. Right now, I am in total MAC mode. Where I want to use as much MAC as I can. BUT it makes me feel that I have to keep buying and buying more products to satisfy my needs. I have plenty of drugstore makeup that I love, that I should try to incorporate in my fotds again.

I would love suggestions, because I am always drawing a blank on what look I should do.
